TMC has launched Navan Anywhere, starting with AI travel agents embedded inside Gemini Enterprise.

In practice, imagine an employee already working in Gemini and typing: “I need to be in London next Tuesday, land before 10am, stay near the client office, keep it within policy, and add the receipt to expenses.” Instead of opening a separate travel platform, the AI agent can handle the trip inside the enterprise workspace.

Technically Navan is separating the booking engine from the booking interface. Its travel inventory, policy controls and expense workflows can now sit behind third-party tools like Gemini Enterprise.

That is a very TMC-specific AI move. OTAs fear to become plumbing behind AI tools; for TMCs, the plumbing has always been part of the business model, as they often operate through fragmented workflows: booking tools, expense systems, and service desks.
